Stop Planning and Just Do It
The more and more I read about how to blog, how to market and how to promote your website, I realize no matter what, you have to start trying. My advice for the day is to stop planning and just do it! Whether it be formulating the perfect blog post, creating the perfect image or writing an ebook, just get started!
If you have read any of my previous posts, you know that I have over 10 years experience blogging and operate to highly profitable websites already. Blauthors is a new venture for me that I have just started. This time I vowed I would do it all right from start to finish. I have learned so much over the last 10 years but when I look at other blogs I tend to compare. Now I am realizing I need to stop comparing and just do what has been working for me for years.
Blog, create, share – blog, create, share – blog, create, share …. blah, blah, blah. You get it. Repeat the process.
First of all, I LOVE the blog and creation part. The sharing part, not so much. I have done a great job though of letting search engines do their jobs and find my websites when people type in keywords. My theory is if search engines find me, I do not have to work so hard and making other people find me on social media.
The social media part is what sucks so much time from me. I have a horrible habit of going on Facebook or Pinterest to check a comment and hours later I’m down the black hole. I try to justify in my mind that it is for work which is quite pathetic since a funny monkey video or some random click bait video has nothing to do with my “work”. I am also just tired of learning about the best time, the best image, the best tips or the best way to make money through social media. In my experience, the best way to make money is your email list. Don’t get me wrong, I still have social media accounts with thousands of followers, it has just not been my strong focus over the years.
So I am going to just continue doing what I am doing. Blog, create and share. If you care to join me, sign up to become a vendor so you too can create and share! Have questions about where to get started, shoot me an email.
